So . . . I guess I'll give this a try. A friend suggested it as a creative outlet and chronicle of our families adventures.
Everyday is an adventure when you have two young boys. Add to that 2 careers, a house that supposed to be cleaned (since we let the housekeeper go 2 sad years ago), meals that need to be prepared and volunteer work.
While I'd love to be a full time mom, wife and volunteer, at this point in our lives I work. Lucky for me since I need to work I have a career that is demanding, full of surprises, challenging and enjoyable (most of the time). I've had one full time employer in the almost 10 years I've been out of college. I like that.
Jason coaches football, and teaches history. While he would prefer not to teach, he's actually a really good teacher, but don't tell him I told you so. He's an offensive coordinator and also coaches the o-line (aka war pigs or fatties)
Hayden is 6 and everyday as Hayden's mom is unpredictable. He is HIGHLY intelligent, extremely creative, artistic, a skilled builder, often nice, and sometimes naughty. Today was a naughty day. We have them sometimes. Still trying to figure out why you would lick someone because they are annoying you. ??? He did in his prayers tonight ask god "to please help him be good at school tomorrow"
Bryant (Bear) is my precious 3 year old. He is either the happiest child in the world or the grumpiest, depending on when you catch him. Happier more often than grumpy. He rarely gets into trouble (so far!) and is extremely coordinated. He loves sports and today said he wants to be a football coach when he grows up like his daddy. Bryant's unpredictability comes in the things he says as it is always a surprise. The other day on the way to school he told me "the Rider Raiders can't catch footballs" and that he needs a hammer and a school bus. Bear prays for pretty much the same thing every day at this point.
Today I'm praying for patience. Patience with my kids, my husband, myself, with people who I encounter through the day that ANNOY THE FIRE OUT OF ME.
So pray for me and my patience. Because it's not good for me to sit in a meeting and contemplate accidently running into someone with my car while they are walking to theirs. Jesus loves this annoying person, so I guess should I. Goodnight!

YEAH! You joined the bloggers! I am praying for you and your patience but please pray for mine too! Thanks for making me laugh outloud when I read this. I actually woke Tim up.... And you are right...Jesus loves the annoying people as much as he loves us. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the world of bloggers so I can know more about you and "the boys" as I call you. But sweet Jaclyn, don't you know that praying for patience is a dangerous thing? If you pray for patience, God may bring you things that will teach you patience -that may not be what you had in mind. The boys pictures are so cute.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! You're a blogger now! I look forward to checking in on your life when I'm supposed to be working! lol Blogs are fabulous for nosy people like you and me! :)
ReplyDeleteMy sweet boys are so cute. I can remember you at their ages licking the beaters.
